Part of my ongoing work ‘Cache’ was exhibited in the group exhibition ‘EXPRESSIONS OF LIGHT’ curated by Zoe Hatziyannaki.
The theme of the exhibition revolves around the Aegean landscape, that of the light, the sun, the moon, the sea, the wind, and the rocks. (..) These landscapes are eternal, they follow the cyclical time of nature, of the light, of the universe, within where we, humans, also exist, no matter how hard we try to make it linear. They are whispering to us that truly there is no “now” or “then” or “here”, but “always” and “everywhere”; they are places where, what has been, the present and what will follow become one, or, in other words, places where memory is allowed to exist and become eternal.

ΕΚΦΑΝΣΕΙΣ ΤΟΥ ΦΩΤΟΣ, Σαντορίνη
Δύο έργα από τη σειρά ‘Cache’ εκτέθηκαν στην ομαδική έκθεση φωτογραφίας ‘ΕΚΦΑΝΣΕΙΣ ΤΟΥ ΦΩΤΟΣ’ στη Σαντορίνη, υπό την επιμέλεια της Ζωής Χατζηγιαννάκη
Η θεματική της έκθεσης περιστρέφεται γύρω από τον αιγαιοπελαγίτικο χώρο, αυτό του φωτός, του ήλιου, της σελήνης, της θάλασσας, του αέρα και των βράχων. (..) Είναι τοπία αέναα, ακολουθούν τον κυκλικό χρόνο, της φύσης, του φωτός, του σύμπαντος που μέσα σε αυτόν κινείται και ο άνθρωπος, όσο και αν προσπαθεί να τον ευθυγραμμίσει. Μας ψιθυρίζουν ότι δεν υπάρχει στην πραγματικότητα τώρα ή τότε, αλλά παντού και πάντα, είναι τοπία όπου η μνήμη, η παρούσα στιγμή και το φαντασιακό γίνονται ένα ή αλλιώς χώροι που επιτρέπουν στην μνήμη να υπάρχει και να γίνεται αιώνια.
