Στο πλαίσιο του εργαστηρίου Σώμα + Αντικείμενο + Κατάσταση του Ούγγρου καλλιτέχνη Peter Puklus, που διοργανώθηκε από το The Palm Tree Workshops, στον χώρο ΟΧΤΩ στην οδό Πολυτεχνείου 8 στην Αθήνα, την τελευταία μέρα πραγματοποίησα μια εγκατάσταση μέρους της δουλειάς μου CACHE.

Το Cache αποτελείται από τα θραύσματα μιας μνήμης καταχωνιασμένης ή λησμονημένης, του παρελθόντος, αλλά και του μέλλοντος. Κάθε φωτογραφία είναι και ένα ίχνος, έτοιμο να ανακληθεί από ανεξιχνίαστα βάθη. Στο υπόγειο του Οχτώ, ο ακατέργαστος επιμήκης χώρος με προσκάλεσε να βρω γωνίες, κρυψώνες, καμπύλες και αντικείμενα που βρίσκονταν ήδη εκεί, και αναλόγως να επιλέξω και να προσαρμόσω τα φωτογραφικά μου θραύσματα. Στη σύντομη παρουσίαση που πραγματοποιήθηκε, προσκάλεσα τους επισκέπτες να περιπλανηθούν και να τα ανακαλύψουν, σαν να βρίσκονταν μέσα σε ένα νοητικό λαβύρινθο. Κρυμμένα πίσω από μια κολώνα, στο ταβάνι, στη σκάλα, πίσω από μια κουρτίνα, σε ένα βάθρο, σε έναν τσιμεντόλιθο, στην καμπύλη ενός τοίχου. Στο τέλος, ακολούθησε η συμμετοχική performance της Barbara Kenedi, “Democracy is not for sheep” στον ενδιάμεσο χώρο του υπογείου.

The last day of the workshop Body + Object + Situation with Hungarian artist Peter Puklus, organized by The Palm Tree Workshops at EIGHT space in Athens, I presented an installation of my ongoing work CACHE.

Cache consists of fragments of a forgotten memory that belongs to the past, but also to the future. Each photograph is a trace, ready to be recalled from unexplored depths. In the basement of EIGHT, the space itself invited me to find corners, hiding places, curves, and objects, and to select and adapt my photographic fragments accordingly. In the short presentation that took place, I invited visitors to wander around and discover these fragments, as if they were in a mental maze. Hidden behind a column, on the ceiling, on the stairs, behind a curtain, on a pedestal, on a concrete block, in the curve of a wall. In the same space, a participatory performance by Barbara Kenedi followed under the title "Democracy is not for sheep".
